I CHOSE THIS PLACE BECAUSE even though I was on holiday escaping Auckland for a few weeks, I still fancied enjoying a good coffee while reading the daily paper and catching up with a few friends who were passing through the Coromandel.

 

 

I WALKED IN AND IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT this is a laid back atmosphere and is exactly what I am after.

 

 

THE SERVICE WAS hassle free and adequate.

 

 

THE COFFEE WAS supplied by Allpress and was delicious as always. They also serve delicious homemade food.

 

IF YOU DROP IN FOR A VISIT make sure you're not in a rush and it's a sunny day so you can relax outside. The Caf� opens to an outdoor eating area of tables and umbrellas nestled in a Native garden.

 

 

OVERALL I THOUGHT Hot Waves Cafe is the perfect mix of Auckland caf� quality; with the hassle free, relaxed and sunny environment of the Coromandel.
