Hi all

Well stock standard for me really this is long overdue.  I'm on this computer 5 times a day and can't manage to flick out a groupe more than once a year haha.

Everything is still ticking along here nicely.  Limoux has been a pretty busy place over the last 2months with beaucoup (a lot) of kiwis coming and going.  The flat's still all good, Tony and Dale keep me in line and are still whipping up a storm in the kitchen (I do cook honest).  Summer has been in full swing for a good 6 weeks now and loving it.  You know it not bad when start complaining about 20degrees.

About 2months ago I had a short mid season break with a week off the bike.  I finished the first half of the season in really good form and running a few good top tens.  Then I jumped a train to Paris and met up with Pete for a bit of sight seeing, which was all good.  You don't see much more than cheap hotel room and dirty little country roads with your racing so was nice to get out an about.  We checked out all the standard sites, ate heaps of pastries, and run round the Asterisks adventure park like 12year olds loving all the roller coasters.

It was then back to Limoux on the TGV for sweet two weeks training camp with a few fellas.  Pete, Troy Klink and Heath Blackgrove were all here to tackle some cols and sweet it out it in the sun of Southern France.  Was good times all round pumping out 2weeks of solid k's an passing over a couple of this years Tour de France Climbs.

I have had some solid racing through July and with come into some pretty good form as well.  Rode the French TTT champs an had my team swinging one week then stepped into another tour and table were turned I was the one swinging haha.  Racing sure has its ups and downs here, in last weeks tour one day I was running top 10's in bunch kicks the next I was piled up on a heap of riders trying untangle themselves from the carnage.   I have now started the build up to Road Worlds which start on the 20th of September in Madrid and really looking forward to that.  I have quite a few big races in my build up in which I will be hunting for a good result.  Next week I have a start in a post tour Criterium in a town not far from here called Quillan which should be a real experience.  Sounds like Thor Hushovd and George Hincapie are turning up so looking forward to that.

I'm also back into the books now taking a couple papers from Massey extramurally, so had to cut back the time spend at the café's in the square.  Though its not all bad I'm taking a French paper again so ordering up a grand café and croissant has to count as study doesn't it.

Well that's all for now will definitely work on spelling out the next one sooner.

Hope all is well in your part of the world.

Take it easy

Tim
