Greg Henderson narrowly missed out on another win this season, this time on Belgium soil in Wednesdays Scheldeprijs Classic. The Dunedin native is having a breakout season on his new team "SKY" where he is being given the protected rider opportunities which have already resulted in a Stage victory in Paris - Nice.
"I came strong at the finish, but I was just out of position," Henderson told Cyclingnews immediately after the finish of the race. "When I started at 200 metres to go I was just a little too far back. I mean I got up there for fourth but it was just positioning in the finale - we were forced onto the front way too early."
Another impressive ride came from Julian Dean, the evergreen fastman was instrumental in securing the victory for team mate Tyler Farrar. Dean as usual can turn his hand to sprinting for the win or giving it all for the team.
Hendis next start will be in this weekends Paris - Roubaix where he has been named replacement for Edvald Boasson Hagen.
