Day one rolled out in wet stormy conditions which then eased leaving the island roads slick and slippery which meant there were a few crashes to avoid in front of us. The Nasty hill in the 5km circuit did its job in splitting things up but we managed to get team mate Roman Van Uden in the break which was the plan, and he raced to 3rd as the dominant Drapac Porsche team had a three man lead out train going for their sprinter so Roman did very well.
Good start to the tour for our team and we will look to keep Roman up there.
Forecast is for more rain then sunshine after that.
