Fuelled by PowerBar a team from Ricoh, Ralph Maddison and a number of the Great Ride for Heart cyclists are riding SRAM Tour de Ranges cycle ride and the length of New Zealand with the aim of raising $1 million for preventive heart research.
New Zealand's cardiology community sees the havoc wreaked by heart disease first hand every day. They want the trauma caused by this insidious disease to stop – not just for the sake of their patients, but for the hundreds of Kiwi families needlessly torn apart by the disease every year. Their commitment to the fight against the disease is unquestioned, and their passion to beat it will be publicly demonstrated when they cycle the length of New Zealand in just 14 days, with the aim of raising $1 million for preventive heart research. Look out for them. They need the support of all New Zealanders to complete their mission.
