The final week of Friday Night Racing saw a small but dedicated field battle it out for some last minute racing before Nationals, and to decide the remaining close places in the Rider of the Year competitions. With a shortened program to allow for a final prizegiving most of the racing was short and intense. In the chariot race final, Ethan Mitchell secured the top spot in the B grade Rider of the Year competition with his win, and in the Men's Keirin, Andy Williams made a successful last minute dash for the top spot in the sprinters competition, having sewn up the A Grade Rider of the Year competition some weeks back. In the feature handicap races, Louis Wright edged out the 'scratchies' in the Under 17 race, and Jono Hailstone overtook and narrowly won over a brave and determined Russell Scott in the final straight in the Senior race.
