Coffee Ride Dizengoff
Lycra and coffee are a frequent occurrence around Auckland. One without the other isn't a ride anymore, especially with the vast selection of dwellings to choose from. Dizengoff café on Ponsonby road is one of the busiest café's on the strip. Open 6.30am to 5pm weekdays, and 7am till 5pm weekends, the small café is jam packed fill of tables, and recently opened upstairs for more seating no doubt >>
Coffee Ride Ben
Ben Boyle's café, Barista Empire on Fort Street in the CBD, has already been the subject of a number of reviews, all of which have been very positive Ben is an award-winning barista, having won the Northern Region Barista competition in 2005 and 2006 and come second in the same two years at the National competition. All of which means that Ben is probably the best barista in Auckland (on the >>
Santos Coffee Ride
Santos has recently opened another café on the corner of Quay Street and Gore Street in the city - an ideal venue for early morning cyclists. It's on the waterfront, there are plenty of walls outside against which to park your bike, the staff are friendly and the seating is well spaced out to provide room to stretch out. Oh, and the coffee is superb, especially if you like it strong. Santos >>
Hot Wave Coffee Ride
I CHOSE THIS PLACE BECAUSE even though I was on holiday escaping Auckland for a few weeks, I still fancied enjoying a good coffee while reading the daily paper and catching up with a few friends who were passing through the Coromandel. I WALKED IN AND IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT this is a laid back atmosphere and is exactly what I am after. THE SERVICE WAS hassle free and adequate.  >>
Caffetteria Allpress Coffee Ride
What better place to try a coffee than the home of Allpress coffee that is Caffetteria Allpress. Coffee Ride Portland
The coffee ride spreads its wings with Albina Press Café in Portland Oregan with numerous Kiwi's spending time here as apart of Team Rubicon Cycling Team. I chose this place as it was recommended to me as I was seeking a better coffee than Starbucks can offer and I was after your typical laid-back coffeehouse to chill out at in the middle of an easy recovery training ride. I walked in and >>
Coffee Ride Nelson
Across from windy Welly and up from the wetlands of the Coast, lies the sunny metropolis of Nelson – complete with its own micro-climate. Here, the locals claim that the sun always shines (if it rains, it is only at night) and it never falls below 15 degrees. While this may not be strictly true, there is no denying that the area does boast incredible weather, outstanding training rides and a >>
BRD Coffee Ride
Nestled within Auckland's swanky suburb of Remuera is Benson Road Deli (BRD). Parked outside are Remuera tractors (4WDs) that never get dirty and it is the common meeting place for handbag dogs and plenty of makeup. Affluent entertainment aside you are always guaranteed a well made Allpress coffee and a fine selection of cabinet and menu food. The black décor creates a polished atmosphere >>
Rosehip Coffee Ride
With much trepidation I said "sweet as" to Aaron's text at 5:55am to meet the crew for the breakfast coffee ride. It was to be my first time playing bikes in seven weeks after a culmination of undesirable weather (excuse number one), sickness (excuse number two, but possibly a more valid than one), and travel (excuse number three) resulted in such a long time off the bike. Since I am >>

Coffee Ride Monet
Typically, choosing the destination for Friday morning brekkie is done once the group has assembled on the waterfront. However, for the next few weeks we will make an exception to this method and choose the café the night before at the CYCO criterium or during late night texting sessions. This way the poor soul who is off his bike right now knows where to drive to join us for a tasty Friday >>
Urban Coffee Ride
Usually I like to earn my traditional Friday morning Cafe stop by first working up at least a little bit of a sweat. This Friday was a slight variation in that I arrived by and car instead of my trusty steed. A recent stack has put me out for a while and what I have found I miss most about the bike is not the actual riding but the socializing and Friday was a routine I was missing most.  >>
Coffee Ride Escape
Escape Auckland…which is what most people choose to do this time of year. However, a group of us decided not to break Friday morning tradition and headed out for breakfast. Even though it was the holiday season, five of us; two unlucky enough to still be working, two non-natives who did not know any better, and one who was partnerless for the first time over the holiday and just did not know >>
