TT Battle Resumes
1 Aug, 2009

This Sunday the Auckland cycling centre will hold it's annual Time Trial champs in Aka Aka where Aaron Strong and Gordy McCauley resume thier battle for Auckland TT dominance.

The last time the two met Gordy got the better of Aaron by 2 minutes at the Counties Manukau TT champs on the same coures 4 weeks ago, however on that occasion Gordy had the advantage of Aaron starting only 30secs infront of him therefore having Aaron as a carrot dangling just waiting to be caught.

This time however the gaps are a minute and with Strong coming home with a month of racing in the USA in his legs Gordy could find the task too much.

When cyclingnz caught up with Gordy he was smack talking it up as only the People's  Champion does: "30secs or 1min I don't care, I'll catch him and blow by him like he's in reverse" .

Aaron was unable to be contacted at the time this story was written.
