TDF Last Stage
26 Jul, 2009 - Gordy

So Cav won the last stage (By Heaps Bro)..

Who would've predicted that? At least the green jersey was a good battle..KOM was a bit more lame, and who the hell is Fettuncini not to be kissing the Black podium girl at the finish? Was she not hot enough for you Buddy? Jeeeesh...I would've been in like Flynn! (Mind you that would have meant the small task of winning the TDF KOM to get the chance)

Contador won..thats 4 Grand Tour wins in a row...lets put that in context, I once won 4 club races in a row once in Dunedin, I've also once won 4 Sam's Classic's in a row (Training rides harder than Race's in Sunny Dunno's)..So whilst Alberto's accomplishment isn't quite up to those levels it's pretty damn good.

2 Kiwi's Finished the Tour .. and were on the attack and right in the mix almost everyday, so thats awesome too.

2 Japanese riders finished aswell, apparently thats the 1st time anybody from the land of the Rising Sun has made it to Paris..Good for them!

Big Tex gave hope to all us old farts by running podium after 4 years out, which makes me ask..do we really need a 35-40 year old vet catagory our should the age for turning vet be 40?

No positive's to report either, thats probably the best news of all! Our sport is cleaning up and thats the best part of all.

See ya all next year...Gordy  P.S all my reports have been bought to you by Branko's Coffee www.brankoscoffee.com Buy some! Do it now Damn it! Buy Some! (It's good)
