PowerBar RIDE Bar
REVIEW DATE: 28 Mar, 2009
RRP: $4.00 - $4.50

After some months of knowing that Nutritional leader PowerBar were launching a new energy bar, the anticipation of whether it was going to hit off on all of the key points was high.  This was going to be a new category of bar to complement the current range.

1.       It had to be easy to eat at all temperatures.

2.       Had to be a comprehensive blend of carbs and proteins for pre and post rides.

3.       Had to be the best tasting bar ever.

Now having consumed the best part of a years supply through a medium sized account and received the feedback from over 50 key dealers around the country PowerBar have done their homework well.

The use of many natural ingredients and strong fiber content make the RIDE BAR easy to eat and eliminates too much chewing, the use of complex carbohydrates delivers long lasting energy without any ups and come downs, whilst the fortification of many minerals and vitamins keep the bodies balances in check delivering quality calories.  The target use of a pre ride or post ride nutritional bar ensure that it is both energy giving and recovery focused and the countless samplings to get the palate absolutely perfect make it a winner in the taste stakes, with many dealers stating that it is not just the best tasting energy bar ever but the best tasting bar, period!

Two flavors have made their way to the NZ market, Peanut caramel and Chocolate caramel.  There is not a lot to dislike there!

Priced reasonably at 4.50 each it becomes an attractive pre ride supplement or post ride recovery tool, or with the outstanding hunger busting taste a great anytime snack without too much guilt!
