Finally the WCNI 2006 Track Champs were held at Levin, after insufficient entries at the beginning of the year and then postponed on Saturday due to weather conditions. 54 riders attended, it was pleasing to see a large number in the Under 15's and 15 riders in the Under 17's. Greg Henderson completed the final day of the Oceania Track Championships in Melbourne today (Sunday Nov 26) with two gold medals. Henderson won the gold medal and Oceania title in the Points race with 85 points, after earlier in the day winning the Scratch. Over the weekend the first Track Cycling World Cup played out on the boards of the Dunc Gray Velodrome in Sydney. New T-mobile recruit, and our own Greg Henderson was on the podium with a silver medal in the Points race, behind Russian Mikhail Ignatiev, and 7th in the Scratch race.
