McEwen To Debut with Big Tex at Tour Down Under
24 Dec, 2010

After the debacle with Team Pegasus Racing not securing a professional license of any level and with several ex ProTour riders signed up the disappointment was of an epic scale for riders like Robbie McEwen.  However the plucky Australian sprint star has found a new home at the team of Big Tex Lance Armstrong.

McEwen will debut with his new team, Team RadioShack, at the Santos Tour Down Under in South Australia on 16-23 January.

"It is great to see Robbie back racing in Adelaide at the Santos Tour Down Under," says Race Director Mike Turtur.

"McEwen has won more stages of our race than anyone else and is a big favourite with the fans.

"Ive got great respect for him as a rider and Im really pleased that he has secured a place with Team RadioShack."

Team Manager, Jose Azevedo (POR) will be leading Team RadioShack in the 2011 Santos Tour Down Under with the following riders:

Lance Armstrong (USA) Robbie McEwen (AUS) Markel Irizar (ESP)

Sebastian Rosseler (BEL) Gregory Rast (SUI) Ben Hermans (BEL)

Manuel Cardoso (PRT)
