Stage 3 Tour of Britain

Hendi Triumphs in Britain
13 Sep, 2010

Greg Henderson (Team SKY) has continued his streak of incredible international performances this year when taking the victory on todays 2nd stage in the Tour of Britain.  Hendi who was a member of the stage long 18 rider breakaway had two team mates (Wiggans, Thomas) in the group and we able to break the grip on the race of Andre the giant Greipels HTC Columbia team.

Hendi who has matured as a rider this season now sits atop the general classification in the race leaders yellow jersey 14 seconds clear of Swiss Michael Albasini (HTC Columbia) who was second on the stage.

Tomorrows stage covers 149km from Newtown to Swansea.  The tough stage which enters into Wales is highlighted by the climb of Constitution Hill at the finish. This cobbled climb was used in the 2004 edition of the race and is one of the steepest residential roads in Britain
