Inside the Keo Power

LOOK and Polar Develop Revolutionary Power Meter
2 Sep, 2010

Like Formula 1 car racing, modern cycling benefits more and more from embedded technology.  LOOK and Polar have joined forces to develop a brand new pedal: the Ko Power.  The Ko Power measures an athletes power output, left/right balance and power output and sends the data directly to a Polar cycling computer on the bikes handlebars. Sensors are integrated in the body of the pedal and the crank for maximum accuracy all in an effort to make training as effective as possible.

LOOK and Polar - Two different companies with the same passion for innovation:

LOOK, the inventor of the clipless pedal, Polar, the inventor of the heart rate monitor.

1982 Polar invented the fi rst-ever wireless heart rate monitor.

1984 LOOK invented the clipless pedal.

2011: Ko Power The First Clipless Pedal

That Measures Pedaling Power

The new Ko Power has been fully developed by LOOK and Polar to measure the power output in each leg. A serious athlete leaves nothing to chance. LOOK and Polar have combined their technologies and expertise to provide an accurate and precise measurement tool that can measure the power output for the left and right leg separately.  For those who want to reach their maximum potential.

With Ko Power, Wattage Will Be Measured In Both Legs

Key Benefits Left/Right Power Balance, Based on the highly accurate power measurement of Ko Power pedals, a Polar training computer shows the balance between the right and left leg. Thanks to this information cyclist can see which leg is dominant and how balanced he is on the bike. This useful piece of data is of help in any training program and is exclusive to LOOK and Polar.

Accurate Measurements
Eight gauges are embedded in each pedal axle for very accurate power metrics.

Simplicity
Ko Power is easy to easy to attach and switch between bikes and will work with any crankset on the market.

Ko Features Integrated

Ko power pedal has all the advantages present in the famous Ko pedal.  The Ko Power is based on the Ko Blade, which offers the widest pedaling platform for maximum power transfer with an INOX stainless steel wear plate.  The Ko pedal is the lightest clipless pedal in its class.
