And Hendi fourth

Former Kiwi Track Team Mates Take 2nd & 4th in Giro Stage
28 May, 2010

Julian Dean looked to be enjoying the free reign he had in last nights Giro stage 18 from Levico Terme to Brescia over 156km.  The Kiwi leadout specialist with no team sprinter on his wheel was able to focus on his own race and ran an impresive second place to the Giant German Andre Greipel.  Deans second place equals the second he took on the final stage of the Vuelta when riding for US Postal.

It was almost a case of Grand Tour stage victory number two for our other Kiwi speedster Greg Henderson as he finished fourth on the stage in the same time as Dean.  Hendi was looking good as he raced toward the line in the lead but ran out of legs in the final metres as the HTC Columbia German came through.
