Hendi Makes SKY Debut a Winner
18 Jan, 2010

Dunedins Greg Henderson (Team SKY) proved too good for the class field in last nights Cancer Helpline Classic in Adelaide.  The race that serves as a pre cursor to the Santos Tour Down Under featured the best field to be assembled in Australia.  Riders like Robbie McEwen, Geert Stegemans and Alan Davis were eager to get points on the board after a difficult 2009 season.

It was to be a double sweet evening for British team SKY making their road debut with Chris Sutton taking second place behind Hendi.

The blue and black train from Team Sky put on a two-lap show of dominance leading into the finale of the race leaving little nothing to chance for the antipodean duo.

"The lead out was so fast, I've never been on the back of anything faster," said Henderson after the finish. And over the final 200 metres nobody was faster than Henderson and Sutton.

Team Columbias Star Andre Greipel took third place.  A position he will no doubt like to turn around as the coming week unfolds.
