Sour Grapes in Wake of Wiggins Hour Record Success
9 Jun, 2015

Cycling coach Steve Collins has gone on the rant in the wake of British Cycling poster boy Bradley Wiggins Hour Record ride calling it illegal.  Collins who helped prepare former holder Alex Dowsett has taken aim at the bike used by Wiggins calling it illegal as it is not currently in production for purchase as is stated as a must by the UCI within 9 months of the race, time it appears is on Wiggins side.

Also unhappy with the amount of UK Federation support that was shown for Wiggins Collins has called this unethical as none of the official help was part of team Wiggins.  In defence British Cycling has stated Wiggins comes under the federation umbrella as he is a member of the greater UK team in preparation for the Rio Olympics where he hopes to represent the UK on the track.
