Majka Makes it Two
24 Jul, 2014

Rafael Majka made it two Tour de France wins today atop the Pla d' Adet, racing solo ahead of the GC contenders the Polish star added more points to his King of the Mountains cause, something he was expecting to lose on the day to the more experienced J Rod.

Majka who rode to an impressive sixth place overall in the Giro now seems to have fully recovered from his Italian adventure and has shown his ability in the Grand Tours is huge and Tinkoff SAXO if they are lucky enough to keep the young Pole may have a successor to El Pistolero in the years to come.

No change to the Yellow jersey as Nibali seems to be in a Tour all of his own with Valverde clinging on to second place overall and a hungry JC Peraud breathing down his neck and a flying Turbo Pinot in third.  Peraud who is an accomplished time trialist will be looking to keep tabs on Valverde all through the mountains to unleash his prowess in the individual race over 54km in a few days time.
