Off to the Real Madrid medical clinic in Spain aboard the sponsors private jet, now the season after surgery becomes all about the possibility of a Vuelta for Contador which would go some way to salvaging a huge missed opportunity that went begging at the Tour.  In the best form of his life and with a high horsepower team at his disposal July has been a tragedy for el Pistolero.
