Nibali Redeems in Sheffield
7 Jul, 2014

Italian Grand Tour specialist Vincenzo Nibali turned a so far lack lusture season on its head by winning the hotly contested 201km stage two of the Tour de France into Sheffield.  Nibali who along with el Pistolero Alberto Contador has also won the Tour of Spain and Giro d Italia now sits atop the leader board with the Tour's Yellow jersey sitting proudly on his shoulders.
After receiving a damning letter from Astana team boss Vinokourov last month to pull his socks up and win like he is handsomly paid to do the Sicilian appeased his boss in the best way possible and on the Astana Capital Cities birthday.  Nibali who is expected to finish on the podium in Paris now has the tough decision to make in defending the Yellow jersey and tiring the legs of his team or letting it go in the hope he may need them in the Tour's tough final week.
