Drapac Ready for Tour de Taiwan Title Defence
10 Mar, 2013
Drapac Professional Cycling (DPC) will return to the UCI 2.1 2013 Tour de Taiwan as the defending champions after Rhys Pollock won the 2012 edition.

The Tour de Taiwan will mark DPCs first UCI race in Asia for 2013 where the team is now focusing most of its resources and energy.  The team is hence highly motivated to not only start their Asian campaign successfully but to also continue the string of strong results at previous Tour de Taiwans.

"The Tour de Taiwan has always been a successful race for DPC having won the General Classification in 2012 with Rhys Pollock and winning four stages the previous year.  The routes and style of racing in Asia is something that suits our team very well and is evident in our results in Asia last year.

Although we would have liked to include Rhys in the selection for 2013 as the defending champion this was not possible due to his increased focus on his professional career.  As a result Rhys will only race within Australia for 2013 but the development of our riders future pathways and long-term career critical to our unique philosophy.

Knowing the stages in detail has enabled us to select a team perfectly suited to the race and one, which can be competitive in all situations.  We have a wealth of experience between Floris and Bernard and will look to them to lead the team" says Jonathan Breekveldt, Drapac Professional Cycling Team Manager

The team consists of the following athletes:
 Floris Goesinnen (NED)
 Bernard Sulzberger (AUS)
 Malcolm Rudolph (AUS)
 Thomas Palmer (AUS)
 Robbie Hucker (AUS)
