The fiery Mark Cavendish has taken his second stage of this years Tour de France into the town of Châteauroux, the site of his first Tour victory in 2008. His HTC team mates knew the significance of leader winning today and rallied around him providing the Manxman with an unrivaled lead out to the finish line.
Coming home in second place was Italian legend Alessandro Petacchi, showing that despite his age he can still challenge for Tour stage victory. In third was the figure of Andre Greipel who in his first Tour was eager to get amongst the action and sprint against his old nemesis Cavendish.
Tour leader the mighty Thor Hushovd came home in sixth place retaining his lead overall and looks toward tomorrow which will more than likely be his last day in yellow as the Tour heads toward the uphill finish at Super Besse Sancy. The last time the Tour finished at Super Besse it was the controversial Ricardo Ricco that literally "stole" the show.
