Team Garmin Cervelo’s Tyler Farrar has kept the magic coming for his American team in taking his first individual stage victory in the Tour de France. Always the gracious team mate Farrar was quick to point out that the win belonged to the team and in particular Yellow jersey wearer and World Champion Thor Hushovd and New Zealand's own superstar of cycling Julian Dean, with the pair ensuring Farrar received an unrivaled lead-out and delivered him to the front of the race with just 150 metres to go.
Notably absent from the pointy end of the race was Manxman and HTC co leader Mark Cavendish who failed to hold the wheel of his lead-out man Mark Renshaw and came home in fifth.
The race for the Green Jersey has begun to get interesting with the contenders for the title now assembling themselves at the top of the table. Jose Joaquin Rojas will take the jersey onto the road tomorrow but lurking just six points back is Farrar and just 3 points further adrift is the man who is no stranger to the green and could swap yellow for it Thor Hushovd.
