Leov and Bennett in DH Action
25 May, 2010
US Pro GRT Round 2, Plattekill Bike Park, Roxbury New York
Leov and Bennett Top Five

Justin Leov (Trek World Racing - Dunedin) and Kieran Bennett (DRD Tomac - Nelson) were in action at this second round of the US Pro Gravity Racing Tour. Bennett was racing at his first US event this year for his new US based professional team and raced to a strong fifth place - "I'm stoked with this result on my first outing for Dylan Dean Developments" Bennett commented on his way to the podium presentation. Leov has lofty goals this season and is targeting a breakthrough World Cup win this year - 3rd at the Plattekill event demonstarting yet again that he is right on track to achieve this.

Bennett described his weekend further: "The weather forecast looked bad but we only ended up with a bit of rain the night before the race which left things a little slick for the morning practice and qualifying. I had a decent qualifier and ended up in 13th; it was clean but I decided I had held myself back a little too much. After seeing how much faster the girls times had got in the finals I knew the track had dried out a lot so decided to push it a lot harder and see how it goes. It ended up working well coming through the line with the fastest time until Justin Leov knocked me out of the hot seat and I eventually ended up 5th behind four full time World Cup riders. Next weekend is the US Open so hopefully things continue to go this way and I get things running even better with the new bike!"

Brief Results, US Pro GRT Round 2
