The big weekend is looming for North Island Secondary school cyclists on the 4th-5th July in Gordonton & Ngaruawhaia.  With the team time trial and road race titles on the line and record rider numbers look for exciting and very close racing.

Team Time Trial

DISTANCE:

16km (all age categories)

GEARING RATIO:

6.610 meters

NB: No Handlebar attachments

 

All Riders are required to have their bike checked prior to the start of the Team Time Trial – no exceptions!

Presentations will be held in the hall at the conclusion of all events.

Reminder: School uniform or official racing uniform to be worn at presentations

There will be a Managers meeting at the conclusion of Prizegiving for Sundays Road Race. 

It would be appreciated if all Managers or a representative from each school could be present. 

Any scratchings for Sunday to be advised at this meeting

Sausages, cold drinks will be available for sale $2.00 per item

Could School entering riders in the U16/U17 boys section please seed riders A or B, the reason for this is incase the field is too large and organizers have to split into 2 races

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The organizers wish to advise the following
  • Last year a number of teams were using the Main Gordonton Road for riding and down as a warm up. Please be advised that our Traffic Manager has advised that if any team who is caught doing this will be instantly disqualified. Managers please advise your riders of this.
 
  • There will be no parking in the school grounds again this year. Schools will be permitted to set up their tents in school grounds.
 
  • Bookings for classrooms will be a first in first serve basis.   The cost is $250.00 paid upfront. $100.00 refundable when classroom is left in the condition it was found in. Thank you to all the schools who left them very clean last year the Gordonton School was very happy with the condition the school was left. If you wish to book a class room please contact the school direct:-

  • Sausages and drinks will again be available to purchase
  • We would like to have a vehicle in the race convey on Sunday that would have a Dr or Nurse with the Senior Races. If any school has a parent who is a Dr or Nurse and would be willing to assist could you please let Sandra Carter know on your entry form along with a contact mobile number.
