The UCI Golden Bike Series now has an extra stage with the inclusion of the Wattyl Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge in New Zealand, which will take place this year on 24 November (www.cyclechallenge.com).

The inclusion of this race was made official on 18 December 2006, at the annual organisers' conference, who were welcomed at the World Cycling Centre by the UCI President, Pat McQuaid and Mr David Lappartient, President of the Cycling for All Commission.
